Pastor Steve Hopper has announced his retirement! Steve will continue to be Pioneer's Pastor through to next Easter (2025), so don't panic (at least not yet)! Pioneer's Pastor Parish Committee (PPC) will be working with Pacific Evangelical Conference's Superintendent, Dr. Brian Hotrum in developing a "Help Wanted" ad and the initial screening of pastoral candidates. Superintendent Hotrum will also work with Pastor Steve in developing a congregational survey to get feedback from our parishioners regarding what qualities they (you) would like to see in a new pastor.

The situation the new pastor would come into is a positive one, as Steve is retiring; there is no strife present in the current congregation; the church budget is in the black; and Dayton is a pretty cool place in which to work!
